âQuiet the mind, and the soul will speak.â â Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati
Sometimes, itâs not more noise we need to solve thingsâitâs silence. Lately, Iâve noticed how loud my thoughts can get when I feel anxious or unsure. I go over the same to-do list, second-guess every decision, and chase clarity like itâs running away from me. But when I stop, breathe, and just beâeven for a minuteâsomething beautiful happens: my inner voice whispers the truth I was too distracted to hear.
That still voice isnât flashy. It doesnât shout. It waits until Iâm quiet enough to notice. And itâs usually telling me things I already know but forgot: Youâre doing fine. Take one step. Rest is allowed. The soul is wise like thatâsoft-spoken but unshakable. You donât have to do anything extraordinary to hear it. Just pause. And listen.
đ§â Mindful Living Tip
Try the 3-Minute âSoul Whisperâ Practice
Want to connect with your inner calm without spending an hour on a cushion? Try this: Set a timer for 3 minutes. Sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Inhale slowly through your nose, and imagine your mind softening. As you exhale through your mouth, say inwardly: I let go of what I canât control. Then listen. Donât force thoughts awayâjust observe. When the timer rings, write down the first phrase or feeling that comes up.
You might get a to-do list item. Or a memory. Or nothing. Thatâs okay. The point is noticing. This little daily ritual isnât about productivity; itâs about reconnecting with the part of you that already knows what you need.

Mindful Reflections from Our Community
We invited readers to share what happens when they take time to quiet the mind. Here are three short but powerful stories from women whoâve made space for their soulâs voice.
âI started with five quiet minutes each morningâno phone, just me and my breath. That time became sacred. I realized I was carrying tension I didnât even notice. Now, I feel more grounded heading into my workday.â â Arlene, Business Coach
âAfter my divorce, I was in survival mode. I couldnât hear myself think. Journaling in silence each night helped me find my voice againâliterally. I launched my podcast two months ago to share my healing journey.â â Camille, Podcast Host
ââEvery time I feel overwhelmed managing my online store, I step outside barefoot, close my eyes, and breathe. That moment of stillness reminds me Iâm more than my sales numbers. Itâs my âreset button.ââ â Trish, E-commerce Entrepreneur
