âThe way you speak to yourself matters.â I used to downplay my efforts, whispering things like âThat wasnât good enoughâ or âYouâre not there yet.â But then I realizedâif I wouldnât say those things to a friend, why would I say them to myself? Our inner voice shapes how we show up in life and business. Words are powerful, even the quiet ones we mutter internally.
When I started treating myself like my own best allyâcheering myself on, celebrating small wins, and giving grace during rough patchesâI noticed a shift. I made decisions with more clarity and courage. Mindfulness isnât just about breathing or being stillâitâs about noticing how you speak to you, and choosing to speak with compassion.
đ§â Mindful Living Tip
This week, practice mindful self-talk. Each morning, before emails and errands, look in the mirror and say one kind thing to yourself. Something true and uplifting like, âIâm learning and growing every day,â or âIâm proud of how far Iâve come.â It might feel awkward at first, but over time, that inner voice will start sounding more like a mentor and less like a critic.
