I’ve felt it—when I’m spiraling into overwhelm and suddenly remember, “I’ve handled worse.” That thought alone helps me breathe deeper. It doesn’t erase the challenge, but it lights a path through it.

Mindfulness helps me catch those negative spirals before they run the show. When I pause long enough to notice my thoughts instead of becoming them, I create space for something better to grow. Just one encouraging thought—one small seed of faith—is all it takes to begin changing the atmosphere in my mind.

Practice this mini reset: each time you catch yourself thinking something defeating, don’t argue with it. Instead, plant a counter-thought. It doesn’t have to be wildly optimistic—just slightly more compassionate. For example, instead of “I can’t do this,” try “This is tough, but I’m learning.” Over time, that mental habit builds resilience and rewires your internal narrative.
