Because honestly, when life gets loud, my thoughts scatter like glitter in a windstorm. But when I give myself a moment of stillness; no emails, no to-do list. Just a quiet pause, clarity begins to surface.

I’ve learned that I don’t need to solve everything in the moment. I just need to wait for the mental waters to clear. Like a shaken jar, my thoughts settle when I stop stirring. It’s in those quiet minutes that I often find my best answers. Stillness isn’t lazy. It’s wise.

Try this: close your eyes for just 60 seconds and breathe without doing anything else. Imagine your mind like a snow globe that’s finally being placed on a table. The flakes slowly begin to settle.

If thoughts show up (and they will), don’t fight them. Just notice and breathe. That’s it. One minute of stillness can reset your day. And once you build the habit, you’ll crave that calm the same way you crave coffee on a Monday. It’s your permission slip to pause without guilt.
