Practice âFive Breaths of Truthâ
This simple exercise has changed the way I approach chaotic moments in my workday. Whenever I feel overwhelmedâby a flood of emails, a confusing client brief, or just the weight of being the bossâI stop and take five intentional breaths. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat. No music, no timer, no fuss.
During those five breaths, I ask myself: âWhatâs true right now?â Not the story in my head, not the anxiety about tomorrow, just whatâs real in that breath. Maybe Iâm tired. Maybe Iâm excited. Maybe I just need water. This tiny pause grounds me. It reminds me that I donât need to fix everything right away. I just need to meet myself where I amâand that awareness is a powerful reset button.
