This one hits close. As women business owners, we face disappointments that sting—launches that flop, clients who ghost us, months where the numbers don’t add up. It’s frustrating, deflating, and sometimes downright exhausting. But here’s what I’ve learned: disappointment is temporary. Hope, when nurtured, is limitless.

Hope isn’t about wishful thinking. It’s about choosing to believe that what’s next can be better, even if today doesn’t go as planned. Staying mindful helps me hold space for both the letdown and the possibility—because both are part of the process. So, yes, cry if you need to. But then, look up. Because hope hasn’t left.

Create a Hope Jar

Here’s a simple practice I’ve fallen in love with: the Hope Jar. Every time you think of a dream, a goal, or even a simple wish (like “I hope I feel more energized tomorrow”), write it on a small piece of paper and drop it in the jar.

On tough days—especially after a setback—pull one out. It’s like a little whisper from your more optimistic self. It reminds you that you’re still reaching, still dreaming. And when one of those hopes does come true? Pull it out, mark the date, and feel that wave of gratitude roll in.
