🌸 Inspiration Corner
“You are the sky. Everything else is just the weather.” That line always centers me. It’s a reminder that no matter how messy my day gets, I’m not the mess. I’m not the overwhelm, the missed deadline, or the customer complaint. Those are just passing clouds. I’m still me, steady, spacious, and capable of handling the chaos.
When we identify too much with our emotions, we lose perspective. But mindfulness pulls us back. It helps us see that stress, frustration, even joy, are all temporary. They come, they go. But we stay. Learning to recognize this has changed how I handle hard days. I don’t have to fix the storm. I just have to remember I’m the sky.
🧘 Mindful Living Tip
Here’s something I’ve been doing lately that might help: name the “weather” you’re feeling without judgment. Say, “I’m noticing stress.” Or “This is frustration.” It might sound silly, but it separates you from what you’re feeling.
The moment I label my emotion instead of being swept away by it, I create space. Space to pause. To breathe. To choose a better response. You don’t need to fight the feeling, just let it pass, like clouds across a blue sky. This simple technique has helped me stay calm in meetings, patient with delays, and kinder to myself overall.
